Just for my own information…IBM apparently does have Interactive Debugging for it’s HLASM called IDF.

Defaults to ASCII. But you can use this macro for EBCDIC…XLATE OUTREC,133,TO=E

Went through the 1st challenge to setup Zowe in VS Code (VSCodium in my case). Went smoothly. Probably partially due to the fact that I just recently installed openjdk-8-jdk for Z390, because Zowe requires Java. I saw a DB2 reference which wasn’t covered when I did Master the Mainframe.

Heard about this on the z390 Google group and signed up for. Formerly “Master the Mainframe”. Access to z/OS.

Before someone else said it. BTW. Rather than use those 2 registers for storage on the SNAP macro. I should have just done this instead “STORAGE=(START,END2)”. Duh!

Was trying to add a description based on Mnemonic from another file. And found many dups same Mnemonic same op code but other differences. For one example the Mnemonic AGF. One place it’s defined as as a RXY format AGF E318 RXY R1,D2(X2,B2) Another place it’s defined with 2 different formats…

Create z/Architecture instruction sqlite database…based on information here. Also added length based on format.
