He was aware of the problem and actually fixed it many months ago. He just forgot to update his website! Sent me new sources which worked fine.

Contacted Jay Moseley about maketape.cbl
I contacted Jay Moseley about maketape.cbl which was a Cobol rewrite of his original CLI maketape program. He rewrote it to create a fullscreen input page. I’m getting “‘PASSED-BUFFER’ ANY LENGTH item must be a formal parameter”, at compile time.

Applied latest update in hope it would fix this problem. Also since neither VS Code or Atom works, both giving a GPU related error, I suspect from electron AND Nvidia was updated as well. Wrote Go program to create proper Hercules ‘devinit’ command. Very simple program of around 50 lines.

Now that I have a Go clipboard program that works, I can rewrite my Python toHerc program in Go. And because it creates a static executable, unlike Python, I don’t need prerequisite instructions to install the Python clipboard package.
