32GB microSD arrived

Put raspian 32 bit on it. But apparently my Pi is dead. Probably died same time I had to replace my PC power supply many months ago. So I need a new Pi…I thought!

No I don’t. Boots with old 8GB microSD. I was having hardware problems almost a year ago I wrote about it here.

See below red LED. Just to left of red LED is a green LED that flashes and I get Linux screen messages, when I boot from the old 8GB microSD. But it doesn’t with new SanDisk 32GB Ultra microSDHC. I just ran rpi-imager again and did a sync (just to be safe) and now it boots!

Thankfully, just for the heck of it I tried booting it. Also I had written that my Pi wasn’t dead.

I’m sure glad I don’t have to buy a new Pi because they are so hard to find and the markup on them is ridiculous. I do anticipate buying a new one when they cease to be rare. And the Pi returns to being an inexpensive SBC. Which was one of the things that made them popular. Stopping for tonight.
