I was listening to an episode of the Destination Linux podcast. And they were going to interview people who worked with printers in the early days. I’m thinking “sounds like a boring topic”, however it wasn’t. And someone mentioned Freshmeat, which I hadn’t even thought of in years. It hosted mainly open-source software. Evidently it later became Freecode. Anyway it was interesting hearing this old word from my past.
Ironically in the same episode, they were asked what printer brand they’d recommend. One of the guys mentioned that he no longer recommends HP, for the very reason I mentioned here. They also talked about expensive ink, which was the reason I made that post.
