Kdenlive – Install newest

Their download page for Ubuntu shows 3 ways. I wanted a normal old school Ubuntu install. I certainly didn’t want the appstores reported 1.4 GB to download, 3.5 GB of disk space required…fatpak, I mean flatpack. Also why does the app store show those sizes? Flathub says…~261MB installed size. My experience from the past shows they are large (the download times seems excessive).

So apparently that is selection Ubuntu PPA. Of course if I want to install it, I would Install the PPA, and then it would work! Right? However after installing the PPA (as shown below)…it didn’t work. I did get to this page from the download page. And after I did what it says it wasn’t downloaded. Now of course I’m just being facetious. However is it really that hard to add 1 more 4 word line below that says sudo apt install kdenlive? What? They didn’t want to use anymore typewriter ribbon ink?
