FreeCAD 1.0

Was watching Bryan Lunduke on YouTube, talking about the soon to be released 1.0 version of FreeCAD. The current stable version is 0.21.2, so it kinda seems like a big jump. CAD software is something I may not need, but it’s something I’ve been interested in for many years. I bought and upgraded DesignCAD 3D for MS-Windows several times 25-30 years ago. It’s still around for MS-Windows, but is now owned by the company who created the more popular (at the time) TurboCAD. I bought it simply because I enjoyed, playing with it and thought an affordable CAD software for desktop computers was cool. This was back when professional CAD users (at least in smaller shops) were using AutoCAD on the desktop.

The last CAD like thing I did was using a very basic program called Sweet Home 3D, a few years ago.
