I heard someone in a YouTube video describe simh as a simulator. And it made me curious. So I tried to dig in a bit.
It could change in the future but as of this date… Wikipedia describes simh as an emulator. Trailing-edge calls it a simulator. Open Simh calls themselve a simulator. But they also list themselves on another of their webpages titled “The emulation Community”. Hercules calls themselves an emulator.
At this point, I don’t know why it matters. There many conflicting discussions about this.
