My biggest program learning obstacle

I’ve been enjoying getting back into some Pascal/Lazarus and Go(lang). However I’ve said it before my biggest problem progressing is a lack of personal projects. Emphasis on personal. I never had this problem in the past. I was always working on some project. I know programming course “projects”, are fairly popular. But I never could get into doing made up projects. In the past I always had some personal project, of my own that I wanted to work on. But for quite a while now… I’ve got nothing!

Another problem for me is using Python as a crutch. I should do every little task in the new language of my choice, instead of telling myself I can just do it in Python in a fraction of the time… and be done with it.
