VSE/ICCF
Just a reminder to myself about ICCF (Interactive Computing and Control Facility). The last place I worked used CA Vollie for that purpose. However I used VM/CMS, because that’s what I was familiar with.
I want a scanner…no printer.
I always wanted a printer. But with the cost of ink, I’m over it. I really don’t have that much I need to print. The cost of ink often exceeds the cost of a printer. However I do need to replace my scanner (which is part of my printer).
HP Envy 4500HP 4500 scanner…no worky!
It appears due to HPLIP not compatible. I must have tried at least 5 different versions. First screen crashes now this!
Cinnamon has crashed multiple times
I probably should have mentioned this before. But I get “Cinnamon just crashed” and “You are currently running in fallback mode” multiple times since I recently installed the latest Latest Mint release. It’s usually maybe always when I’m running VM/370.
My old REXX calendar program
Got it working on Hercules VM/370. Wouldn’t work as written using EXECIO statement’s to read/write to disk. So I changed it to use LINEIN/LINEOUT statement’s. I don’t believe these were valid statement’s when I wrote this 29 years ago on 3/31/94. It makes a calendar of the current month…by default. And flags the current day …
WordPress update after edit
I noticed with my recent WordPress edits, that if I return to the main post after an edit, that post now reflects the change. I always had to refresh the page before.
VM/370 CE EXECIO error
Well it certainly helps to place a working example next to your own code in error. I spotted a slight problem. Starring me in the face the whole time. Spelled it correct in the title…before I wrote this! However it still complains about the FINIS. Also I learned I could do…HELP EXECIO
