Decided to look into this, so I joined Julia Computing. They recommend I install JuliaPro. Of course now I need to join JuliaPro. I’m already a member of Julia Discourse. Anyway Julia Pro is about 3 times bigger than the latest version of Julia. OK have to abandon install on OpenSuse because not in prerequisites. So over to Mint because Ubuntu is one of the recommended prerequisites. So Julia on OpenSuse will be more current than JuliaPro on mint
But wait! I’m guessing that the larger JuliaPro is probably like Python Anaconda…Julia with extra packages. So maybe I could continue on OpenSuse and just install packages as needed. However I think there could be a possibility that some package might not work with the latest Julia.
