Copy Samsung phone files to/from a flash drive

Bought one of these, well actually 4, from Amazon. USB C to USB A adapter. Showed up in notifications. Plugged in a random flash drive. Said it was read-only because it was NTFS. It was able to play a video on that drive. Evidently it’s expecting FAT32 for read/write access.

Samsung Eye Saver mode

Just tried out Eye Saver mode on my new Samsung monitor. I think I like it. It’s like my Linux redshift mode.

Bombarded with 4Patriots ads

Sometimes I look at a video because I’m skeptical of the topic, and I want to do a little research. That’s the case for theses 4Patriots solar generators. The whole marketing spiel (not speal) seems suspect to me. I’ve seen enough to know… I have no interest in them. However because I’ve watched a few …

Samsung camera color adjustment… white balance

I know… white does white balance have to do with color? On this day… IDK. But obviously it does. This isn’t a detailed photography course. Just quickly documenting a fix I found for a problem I have. My daughter and I was sharing pictures of our same model watches. Below is my watch on the …

New Anker battery packs

Do I have to discuss everything? I received my Anker 10,000mAh battery pack replacements (model 1388A) a few days ago. OK great… life goes on. How much is there to say? Except I pressed the button and turned it on and after charging it and it says 100%. So I plug my low power USB …

Installed new monitor

Looks very nice… but I need sunglasses now. Didn’t realize how washed out my old monitor was. Was easy to assemble without instructions. But I had to look at them to change some settings. The power button was the magic, it rocks to other settings. I currently have brightness set to 15. The redshift automatic …

Bought a new Samsung monitor

From BJ’s. My current monitor, which started out as a TV (Sansui), is fading fast. The colors are all washed out. It has lasted a long time. Bought another 24″. That’s what my work area has room for. I found it hard to determine the model, from the box… or instructions. BJ’s web page describes …

Big gains for EXT4

Read here. Of course it will probably take Mint 2 years to get there. I could always update the kernel manually.
