So you’re telling me that the only way to actually look at VM printer output… is to print it out?
I can’t believe how difficult it’s been to figure out how to look at printer/spool output from VM has been. I finally had to walk away from it a few hours ago. This is a common thing we did on a daily basis. Maybe I just assume we viewed VM printer output… it’s been so long ago.
I just don’t think I’ve googled the proper phrase to show me the way. Either that or I haven’t looked deep enough into the replies

I think I saw a cms example somewhere, where there was a “filename LISTING”, file somewhere and it had a record length of 132. So maybe that’s a hint.
Look into sfbrowse – spool file browse
SFBROWSE CMS User Area command
Use the SFBROWSE command to browse the content of the files in your virtual
reader. The command can only handle one spool file at the time but provides
many subcommands.
The format of the SFBROWSE command is:

Sending Spool Files to Other Users and Devices

Use the CHANGE command to send spool files to other spooled devices (either yours or another user's). First, you must find out the identification number of the spool file you want to send (use QUERY PRINTER, QUERY PUNCH, or QUERY READER; the number listed under FILE is the spool file's identification number). Once you know the identification number of the spool file, enter:
change device1 spoolid to userid device2
