Tumbleweed updates part 2

Why I continue to look at this? I don’t know. Updating specifically is something very important to me. As a matter of fact on a recent episode of the Destination Linux podcast, someone pointed out that they were able to successfully update their OpenSuse, Tumbleweed I believe system many months later. I assume that this group of people probably install many various packages. So why do I, have this problem?

I guess I continue because in describing the problem below…a few bells went off. At first the problem was vague. I got an update error. Why should I a simple user, be concerned with the URI? But now it’s pretty clear that it has something to do with the date 20211019 in the URI. Even still that date wasn’t way in the past when this error first showed. It’s only 2 month old now. And as I said someone in the podcast was bragging about a successful update…many months later. I was updating fairly frequently.

Perhaps the link is a key. This person was getting similar errors after installing VS Code, and also about Tumbleweed’s one-click installers.
