Stupid time killer misteak

While working on the Master the Mainframe course, I keep making the same stupid copy & paste mistake that has lengthened my task completion time considerably!

I copy the command I need for example…dslist 'z#####.p2.output'

I know I'm supposed to replace the above z##### with my ID

So I double click my Id Z12345 and copy it correctly

Then I doubleclick on the part that I want to replace [z#####] and paste.

However although double clicking and copying my Id copies the complete ID…double clicking z##### only selects the #s and not the leading z in addition it selects the dot '.' after the #s!

I then paste, with the assumption that I'm replacing what needs to be replaced, and I actually end up with zZ12345, minus the dot separator…an Id that obviously doesn't exist!

So actually after I double click the destination I need to press BackSpace twice then press Ctrl-V followed by a dot.

This completely messed me up and killed my productively! At least it did...now I'm aware!
