I started this many years ago [late 1999 to early 2000] as a means to learn HTML. I decided to digitize the 1975 Miami Central High School yearbook [Senior class]. The photos were scanned from the yearbook. HTML seemed to be the best way to display it, so it could be viewed using a standard web browser. I used OCR software to extract most of the names from the blue graduating list, and fed this into a MS-Access database. The remaining names were taken from the yearbook. Small changes were made through the years. In the first version I simply displayed complete student pages. Later I decided I would create a link to individual photos. Not everyone from the 1975 yearbook are included... only the Seniors.
The Yearbook Editor-in-Chief was Noreen Stack. The copyright notice on this website is for the website itself...not the yearbook. I had no part in the creation of the actual yearbook. FYI, there are 639 names in the database and 454 of these are in the yearbook. Feel free to contact me with comments or corrections.
